We are nature

I had the privilege to be a part of the TEDx “Here and Now” art exhibition where I showcased my piece called “We are Nature”. It consists of this short film, an audio track I created with a few friends using synths layered over recorded ambient sounds, and two prints of my photographs mounted on either side of the screen. The goal of the piece was to create a meditative state in the viewer and compel them to see that nature is not an amorphous “othered” entity, but is the very fabric of our existence and despite Western civilization’s best efforts to “conquer” nature, it will always be present, as it is us.
